Her Welsh outdoor record of 4.40m, set in 2014, remains unbroken. She won seven outdoor and two indoor Welsh titles between 2010 and 2018, plus four British championships. Her indoor personal best of 4.42m in 2012 ranked her fourth in Britain that year.
Simpson competed at three Commonwealth Games (2010, 2014, 2018), represented Great Britain at the 2011 Universiade in China, and reached the 2012 European Championships.
